Academic Year 2024 (first semester)

The Postgraduate Program in Production Engineering, at the Master's and Doctorate level, announces the opening of registration for the selection of candidates, to fill remaining vacancies for the first semester of the 2024 school year, from December 15th to January 26th, 2024..

Application will be made online only.

The candidate must submit the following documents:

  1. Copy of the front and back of the Undergraduate Diploma, registered;
  2. Copy of academic transcript of graduation courses;
  3. Copy of the front and back of the Diploma Course Masters (only Doctorate);
  4. Copy of Transcript of the Master's Degree (only Doctorate);
  5. Copy of ID;
  6. Copy of the CPF (Individual Taxpayer);
  7. Copy of birth or marriage certificate;
  8. Documented curriculum vitae (preferably, Lattes);
  9. Enrollment fee in the amount (*);
  10. Copy of the proof of payment of the registration fee;
  11. Copy of the Master's dissertation, in PDF format (only for Doctorate)

(*) The registration fee must be paid per bank slip generated upon completing the online application form.
The bank slip can not be paid in UNIP's cash.

The candidate will also have to:

l) Manifest, in a declaration attached to the documents, the option for a Research Line and a Program Research Project.
m) Prepare a text describing the main contributions you can make to the chosen Research Project. The text, with a maximum of 04 (four) pages, will be the proposal of the candidate's Research Project and must contain:

  • name;
  • description of the contribution;
  • justification, that is, what is the importance of the contribution and adherence to Project Program;
  • brief description of the activities required to implement the contribution to the Research Project Program;
  • schedule of activities;
  • references according to the ABNT.

n) The candidate for the Doctorate, besides writing the text referenced in the item above, shall submit its proposed contribution orally, preferably with support projection, lasting approximately 10 minutes.
o) The proposal presented by the student is orientative and not necessarily definitive.

Foreign candidates must submit as well:

p) Copy of the National Register of Foreigners (RNE) or evidentiary document as regards regular residence in Brazil;
q) CELPE-BRAS Certificate of sufficiency in Portuguese language (http://portal.inep.gov.br/acoes-internacionais/celpe-bras). May be accepted the protocol of enrollment in the examination. 

Candidates who attended an undergraduate or Master's degree in foreign institutions must submit the following documents:

r) Copy of the academic record and the duly revalidated diploma of the graduation course, according to the current legislation, except in the case of international agreements, provided that they are incorporated by Brazil;
s) Copy of academic transcripts and Master's degree, duly recognized by a Brazilian program recognized by CAPES, for Doctorate candidates.

Registrations with partial delivery of documentation and that do not strictly meet the requirements of this Notice will not be accepted.

Candidates should send digital copies of the listed documentation, in PDF format, to the email: ppgep@unip.br. Only legible copies and original sizes will be accepted.

In case of approval in the selection process, all documents must have their originals presented at the time of registration.

Stage I – Registration and Document Submission (Eliminatory)
Registration will only be validated upon payment of the bank slip and submission of complete documentation within the stipulated deadline. Validation is confirmed through a confirmation email sent to the candidate.

Stage II - Questionnaire
Candidates with validated registration in Stage I will receive a questionnaire, which must be answered and sent to the Program. The questionnaire will be sent to the candidate's email.

Stage III - Document and Questionnaire Analysis
Analysis of the Curriculum (preferably Lattes curriculum); Analysis of the Research Project proposal; Analysis of the questionnaire.

Stage IV – Interview
Interview and presentation of Research Projects only for those selected in Stages I, II, and III

IMPORTANT:
1 - To ensure secrecy and equal opportunities, attention and obedience to requests for documents and content, strictly within the established deadlines, is essential.
2 - The stages of the Selection Process will be carried out remotely, by means of videoconferencing or other technology of synchronous transmission of sound and image.

STAGE I - REGISTRATION AND DOCUMENT SUBMISSION
December 15, 2023, to January 26, 2024

STAGE II - QUESTIONNAIRE
January 31, 2024 (Wednesday), starting at 9:00 AM – Sending the questionnaire to the candidate with a validated registration in Stage I
February 01, 2024 – Deadline for the candidate to return the completed questionnaire

STAGE III - DOCUMENT AND QUESTIONNAIRE ANALYSIS
February 02, 2024 (Friday), starting at 4:00 PM - Announcement of the candidates approved for Stage IV

STAGE IV – INTERVIEWS FOR CANDIDATES APPROVED IN STAGES I, II, AND III
February 05, 2024 (Monday), from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Interview and presentation of Research Projects

The interview will last 20 minutes and will be held by videoconference, according to previously announced times.
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria: a. Curriculum lattes; b. professional experience; c. motivations; d. relevance of the academic and scientific contribution present in the submitted research project proposal; e adherence to one of the research lines and to one of the research projects developed by the professors.

SELECTION RESULT
February 7, 2024 (Wednesday), from 6 pm – Publication of the selection result on the Program page on the internet.

Enrollments must be made in person at the Program Secretariat on February 8th and 9th, 2024, at which time the candidate must:

  1. Submit the following original documents:
    1. Graduation Course Registered Diploma;
    2. Transcript of Graduation courses;
    3. Diploma Course Masters (only for Doctorate);
    4. Transcript of the Master's Degree (only for Doctarate);
    5. ID;
    6. CPF (Individual Taxpayer);
    7. Birth or marriage certificate;
    8. 2 3x4 photos (recent).

    Foreign applicants must also submit:
    i) National Registry of Foreigners (RNE) or document proving regular stay in Brazil;
    j) CELPE-BRAS Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese.   the registration protocol for the exam will be accepted.

    Applicants who attended undergraduate or Master's degrees in foreign institutions must submit the following documents:
    k) School transcripts and duly revalidated graduation course diploma, in accordance with current legislation, except in the case of international agreements, provided they are incorporated by Brazil;
    l) School transcript and Master's diploma, duly recognized by a Brazilian program recognized by CAPES, for Doctorate candidates.
  2. Sign the Educational Services Provision Agreement;
  3. Choose the subjects to be taken in the semester;
  4. Withdraw the payment slip for enrollment.
